Same idea, structured. ID-verified on both sides. Funds held until trip starts.

Safety isn't a tab. It's the floor.

Three things make Glydr work where casual ride-shares break: who can join, what we see during the trip, and how money moves.

The honest answers.

Questions we keep getting. If yours isn't here, drop us a note at hello@glydr.africa.

No. glydr. is cost-sharing. Drivers are already heading somewhere — they list the empty seats on their trip, and you pay your share of the fuel. We aren't routing professional drivers to you on demand.
Anyone with a verified Ghana Card, a valid driver's licence, valid vehicle papers (insurance, roadworthy), and a clean identity check. We don't require a commercial licence — this is your car, on your trip.
We take a flat 10% platform fee on every completed trip. The other 90% goes to the driver as a fuel subsidy on the run they were already making. No commission tiers, no surge multipliers, no hidden cuts.
Funds in escrow are refunded to your mobile money wallet automatically if the driver doesn't start the trip within the agreed window. We also pause the driver's account pending review.
Pilot is live for in-Accra corridors (Madina, East Legon, Osu, Tema, Airport, Spintex, Cantonments) and the Accra ↔ Kumasi long-run. Cape Coast, Takoradi, and Ho are next on the list.
Same idea, with the parts that actually keep you safe: every driver and passenger is identity-verified, the trip is OTP-started and live-tracked, payment is escrowed in mobile money, and there's an SOS escalation path.
Pilot invites roll out in waves over the next quarter — drivers first, then passengers on the corridors with enough driver coverage.
